IDP Fantasy 2023 – Waiver Wire Targets for Week 13

With Week 12 in the books, it is time to start looking ahead to the waiver wire and assessing what talent is available to help boost your roster. These are the IDP players you should look to target ahead of Week 13.

Defensive line

Emmanuel Ogbah, Miami Dolphins – With Jaelan Phillips suffering a torn Achilles against the Jets in Week 12, Ogbah is set to see an increase in usage. He looked good against New York, logging 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble. He has three good matchups against the Commanders, Titans, and the Jets on the horizon.

Trey Hendrickson, Cincinnati Bengals – Hendrickson might be the biggest name on the Bengals’ defense but he’s surprisingly still available in almost half of all IDP leagues. He has three and a half sacks in his last five games and has scored double digit points in all but one game since Week 3.

David Onyemata, Atlanta Falcons – Onyemata was admittedly fairly quiet in Week 12, but I think there’s reason for optimism going forward, not least because he faces the Jets in Week 13. New York have allowed 47 sacks this season and have been giving up five per game through the last three weeks.

Linebacker

Damone Clark, Dallas Cowboys – Clark has been getting more playing time through recent weeks and he has looked good for Dallas. He scored 18 points against the Commanders in Week 12 and has now averaged 14.8 points per game though the last four weeks.

Christian Harris, Houston Texans – Harris is getting his chance as a starter for the Texans and has looked really good over the last couple of games. He had 12 tackles in Week 12 alone and has averaged 20 points per game over the last two weeks. I’d bet on that continuing.

Kaden Elliss, Atlanta Falcons – Elliss scored 17 points in Week 12, marking the third straight game where he has hit that mark. He is playing almost every snap for the Falcons right now and seems to be a very dependable fantasy starter.

Defensive back

Jonathan Owens, Green Bay Packers – Owens had an outstanding performance in Week 12 against the Lions, returning a fumble for a touchdown. He has now played 100% of snaps in each of the last five games and has scored 18+ points in three of those games.

Tyrann Mathieu, New Orleans Saints – It might come as a surprise, but Mathieu is available in 56% of IDP leagues. He had two picks against the Falcons in Week 12 and has now scored at least 14 points in three straight games.
