Fantasy Football 2023 – Waiver Wire Targets for Week 13

Week 12 is in the books, and it is time to look ahead to the waiver wire. These are the players you should be targeting on waivers ahead of Week 13 to get ahead of your league rivals.

Running back

Samaje Perine, Denver Broncos – He might not be a player that gets a reliable workload, but Perine’s production over the last two weeks makes him worth an add. He scored 13.7 points in Week 11, finishing as RB17. He had a similarly impressive showing against a good Browns defense in Week 12, scoring 13.6 points.

Wide receiver

Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers – Reed made this list last week and he’s still here for Week 13. He was once again excellent for the Packers, logging his third consecutive 15+ point game. He is clearly going to be a big part of this offense moving forward and he is well worth investing in.

Curtis Samuel, Washington Commanders – Samuel had a huge game against the Cowboys in Week 12. He logged season highs in targets (12), catches (9) and receiving yards (100). Was that game a one-off or a sign of better things to come? I’m not sure, but it’s worth the bet to wait and see.

Demario Douglas, New England Patriots – New England’s offense has been pretty terrible this year but Douglas has been a nice player for them. He has now scored double digit points in four of his last five games and has logged back-to-back games with at least nine targets.

Tight end

Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers – Plenty of people clearly dropped Freiermuth as a result of injuries as he is available in more than half of Sleeper leagues. He looks set to be a big part of the new-look Steelers offense in Week 12, earning 11 targets and going for 120 yards while scoring 25.5 fantasy points.

Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Every week I am amazed that Otton isn’t on more rosters. He has been a steady producer for much of this season and is earning plenty of targets. He is playing almost every snap for the Bucs and has now scored double digit points in six of his last seven games.

Quarterback

Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers – Love has really begun to turn things around over the last few weeks. He scored 26.6 points against the Lions in Week 12 and has now finished as QB12 or better in each of the last three weeks.
