Fantasy Football 2023 – Waiver Wire Targets for Week 14

Week 13 is in the books, and it is time to look ahead to the waiver wire. These are the players you should be targeting on waivers ahead of Week 14 to get ahead of your league rivals.

Running back

Ezekiel Elliott, New England Patriots – The Patriots’ offense is looking pretty grim these days but Elliott may still be worth a pick up. He has been getting a steady workload through recent weeks and with Rhamondre Stevenson now out for several games he should feature heavily.

Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans – Was this the Spears breakout game? The rookie out of Tulane looked good against the Colts, earning 20 touches and putting up 87 scrimmage yards. There is a very real chance that he starts to take on a bigger role down the stretch.

Keaton Mitchell, Baltimore Ravens – Mitchell and the Ravens were on a bye in Week 13, but if you can get him before next week’s matchup with the Rams then do. When we last saw Baltimore play he was their primary back on early downs and he earned a good amount of short yardage work.

Wide receiver

Jonathan Mingo, Carolina Panthers – Mingo had the best game of his season so far in Week 13, making six catches for 69 yards. He has been earning a steady stream of targets for several weeks now and he looks like he could be a key part of the post-Frank Reich offense in Carolina.

Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers – Doubs had a good outing against the Chiefs in Week 13, managing to score 11.2 points to finish as the week’s WR29. Christian Watson suffered a hamstring injury late in the game, so don’t be surprised if Doubs gets more work in Green Bay’s next few games.

Noah Brown, Houston Texans – Brown may have been quiet in his return from injury, logging just two targets and no catches against the Broncos. That said, he should be seeing more targets in the coming weeks as a result of Tank Dell’s absence.

Tight end

Chigoziem Okonkwo, Tennessee Titans – Okonkwo seems to be hitting his stride. After an underwhelming first half of the season, he has now logged back-to-back double digit scoring games. He has finished as TE20 or better in three of the last four weeks.

Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Chargers – Everett has now managed to score double digit points in two straight games. Next weekend he gets to face a Broncos defense that has been abysmal against tight ends this season.

Quarterback

Russell Wilson, Denver Broncos – There aren’t many quarterbacks with better fantasy matchups over the next few weeks than Wilson. In Week 14 he will go up against a terrible Chargers defense, and then in Week 15 he faces a Lions pass defense that has been struggling in recent weeks.
