Fantasy Football 2022 – Waiver Wire Targets for Week 12

Maybe you’ve lost one of your star players to injury? Or maybe your team just needs some extra reinforcement. Whatever it might be, it makes sense to get ahead of your competition and utilise the waiver wire. These are the players you should be targeting in fantasy football ahead of Week 12.

Running back

Samaje Perine, Cincinnati Bengals – With Joe Mixon exiting the Bengals’ victory over the Steelers with a concussion, Perine stepped up to the plate. His 30.2 points was admittedly inflated by his three receiving touchdowns, but it feels like he should receive the bulk of the backfield work moving forward. He’s well worth adding despite a tough Week 12 matchup against the Titans.

Latavius Murray, Denver Broncos – Murray saw a heavy dose of carries once again in Week 11. This marked the third time in five games that he has had at least 15 touches and he has now exceeded 10 points three times since Week 7. At this point Murray offers reliable volume and solid production. With Chase Edmonds out injured, his only competition for playing time is Melvin Gordon.

Wide receiver

Demarcus Robinson, Baltimore Ravens – Robinson is coming off a great game against the Panthers, making nine catches for 128 yards. He has seen a massive increase in targets thanks to Rashod Bateman’s injury, with 21 over his last three games. He looks like Baltimore’s WR1 right now, and yet he is still rostered in less than 50% of leagues.

Kendall Hinton, Denver Broncos – The one-time emergency quarterback is becoming a key part of the Broncos’ offense, in no small part as a result of injuries. Hinton has now played at least 80% of snaps in each of Denver’s last two games. He has also managed over 50 yards in each game. With a nice run of games ahead, he’s well worth a stash.

Randall Cobb, Green Bay Packers – There’s a bunch of reasons to pick up Cobb. For starters, everyone knows how much his quarterback loves him. Then there is the fact he has no real competition in the slot and his increased production in recent games. In his last two healthy outings, Cobb has earned 19 targets, with 13 catches for 172 yards. He has finished as WR15 and WR19 in those two games respectively. There’s no reason that can’t continue.

Tight end

Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints – This might be the last time you can pick up Johnson, who for my money is the most underappreciated fantasy player this season. He is coming off his third straight game scoring double digit points and has been a top 10 tight end three times in his last four games. Johnson is currently the TE11 this season yet is rostered in just 73% of leagues.

Logan Thomas, Washington Commanders – Thomas had a great game in Week 11, with five catches for 65 yards giving him a season-high 14 points. The inconsistencies at quarterback have impacted his production so far this season, but with Taylor Heinecke seemingly settled they are starting to form a connection. Thomas also has a good matchup next week against the Falcons.
