NFL Week 6 Player Props – Dallas Goedert, Drake London, and more

If you are looking for betting value, player props are a good place to start. We are sharing four of our favourite player prop bets from Week 6 and why we think they are worth betting on.

Dallas Goedert – Over 36.5 receiving yards

There’s a handful of reasons why I really like this prop. For starters, Goedert is coming off his best game of the season, putting up eight catches for 117 yards against the Rams. There’s also the fact that the Eagles are facing the Jets, and the presence of Sauce Gardner will no doubt limit the targets that AJ Brown and Devonta Smith earn in this game.

On top of that, the Jets are also one of the worst defenses in football at defending the tight end position. So far this season they are allowing a whopping 7.4 catches and 60.5 yards per game to tight ends. By contrast, they are giving up a league-low 79.4 yards per game to opponents’ WR1 and WR2 combined. All of this feels like a game where Goedert should get plenty of work.

Drake London – Over 43.5 receiving yards

It can be tough to fully trust the Falcons’ passing attack, but I think this is a good prop that is definitely worth a look this week. London’s yardage may have been a little up and down, but he has been getting a very steady stream of targets through recent weeks, averaging 7.5 per game since Week 2.

The matchup here is also excellent. London will face off against Washington’s rookie cornerback Emmanuel Forbes. It is safe to say that it has been trial by fire for Forbes through the first five weeks of his NFL career. His 401 yards allowed are the second most amongst cornerbacks and he is allowing 20.1 yards per catch. He has also given up at least one 30+ yard reception in each of his last four games.

Jerome Ford – Under 11.5 rushing attempts

Ford still seems to be the RB1 in Cleveland, but there will be some questions about how much longer that is going to continue. The Browns were on a bye last week, but the last time they were on the field we saw Kareem Hunt and Pierre Strong eating into Ford’s workload. It sounds like that is something that could continue over the next few weeks.

There is also the fact that the Browns are without Deshaun Watson and will be facing a rampant 49ers team. Cleveland are 9.5 point underdogs in this game and it feels like it will only be a matter of time before they are forced to abandon the run. With that in mind it is tough to see Ford getting a tonne of work.

Ja’Marr Chase – Over 7.5 receptions

The Bengals offense finally showed some signs of life last week against the Cardinals. The way they were able to do that was to get Chase more involved and scheme up targets for him. This involved far more work as an underneath receiver and five of his 15 receptions came behind the line of scrimmage.

Cincinnati is facing a Seahawks defense that has been one of the best run defending units in football through five weeks. You’d expect the Bengals to lean even more into the passing game than normal (they rank third in pass rate over expectation) and that is only going to benefit a player like Chase. With Tee Higgins still not at 100% I think Chase will feature heavily again.
