IDP Fantasy 2022 – Waiver Wire Targets for Week 13

Perhaps you have lost one of your star players to injury? Or maybe your team just needs some added reinforcement. Whatever the reason might be for you dipping into the waiver wire, these are the players you should be looking to pick up in IDP fantasy ahead of Week 13.

Defensive line

Calais Campbell, Baltimore Ravens – Campbell turned 36 at the start of this season but you wouldn’t have guessed it if you’ve watched this Ravens defense. Through his last five games he has logged 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. This has seen him score at least 13 points in five consecutive games. Despite all of that, Campbell is rostered in just 24.7% of IDP leagues.

Jaelan Phillips, Miami Dolphins – Does it surprise you to learn that Phillips is only rostered in 51.7% of IDP leagues? It certainly shocked me! The second-year Dolphins edge rusher has been very good this season, averaging 15.4 points per game since Week 7. He has a good matchup next weekend too against Mike McGlinchey. The 49ers’ right tackle has allowed five sacks already this season.

Linebacker

Jack Sanborn, Chicago Bears – This is likely your last chance to pick up Sanborn. The rookie has been outstanding for the Bears since Roquan Smith’s departure, with 42 tackles and two sacks in his last four games. He scored 26 points against the Jets in Week 12, his second game of 25+ points in his four games as a starter. Sanborn is still available in 38% of IDP leagues so get him while you still can.

Christian Kirksey, Houston Texans – The Texans look absolutely abysmal right now, but they at least have some solid IDP options. Kirksey is one of those, and his reliable volume of tackles has helped him produce on a weekly basis this season. He has scored double digit points in every single game this season and is averaging 15.1 points per game. He’s still available in 43% of IDP leagues.

Denzel Perryman, Las Vegas Raiders – Perryman has been as reliable as they come at linebacker. He has scored at least 13 points in every game he has played since Week 1. That gives you a nice high floor, which is obviously a valuable commodity in fantasy. He has also had some success as a blitzer this season and that could work well against the Chargers next week, who have struggled in pass protection all year.

Defensive back

Martin Emerson, Cleveland Browns – It is difficult to find cornerbacks who are consistently dependable in IDP, but Emerson looks to fit that bill. The rookie from Mississippi State has averaged 18.8 points per game since Week 6. A big part of this has been his tenacity in run support and rallying on underneath throws, with 33 tackles in that spell. That bodes well for a game against a Texans offense that loves to attack the short areas of the field.

Darrick Forrest, Washington Commanders – Forrest has been excellent for the Commanders in recent weeks, averaging 18.3 points per game through his last three. In that spell he has a fumble recovery as well as two interceptions. He is being used all over Washington’s defense and is coming off a great game against a run-heavy Falcons team where he had 11 tackles. I expect to see more of the same against the Giants next week.

Cam Taylor-Britt, Cincinnati Bengals – During his time at Nebraska, Taylor-Britt earned a reputation as a physical, hard-nosed cornerback who is tough against the run. That seems to have translated nicely to the NFL. He has been earning more playing time in the absence of Chidobe Awuzie and has 20 tackles in his last two games alone. He should be pretty easy to acquire too as he is available in 87% of IDP leagues.
