Fantasy Football 2022 – Waiver Wire Targets for Week 15

Maybe you’ve lost one of your star players to injury? Or maybe your team just needs some extra reinforcement. Whatever it might be, it makes sense to get ahead of your competition and utilise the waiver wire. These are the players you should be targeting in fantasy football ahead of Week 15.

Running back

Travis Homer, Seattle Seahawks – It is slim pickings at running back this week. If you are really desperate to make a move then Homer is your guy. With Kenneth Walker out he was the Seahawks’ lead back against the Panthers. Game script prevented him from having a bigger impact, with Seattle forced away from the run after trailing 17-0 early on. If Walker misses more time he could be a worthwhile add down the stretch.

Wide receiver

Tutu Atwell, Los Angeles Rams – Atwell hasn’t done a tonne in terms of scoring so far, but he looked to have a good connection with Baker Mayfield. Atwell earned a career-high nine targets against the Raiders, finishing with five catches for 50 yards. With all of the injuries to the Rams’ offense I wouldn’t be surprised if that continues for the rest of the season.

Isaiah Hodgins, New York Giants – Hodgins has been a legitimately impressive fantasy producer over the last two weeks. He scored 15.4 points against Washington in Week 13 and is coming off a 15.8 point showing against the Eagles this weekend. His scoring has been pretty reliant on touchdowns, but he’s getting targets and playing time and that’s worth a roster spot.

Tight end

Chig Okonkwo, Tennessee Titans – Make no mistake. Okonkwo is the guy in Tennessee going forward. He has 16 targets through his last three games and scored 21.5 points against the Jaguars in Week 14. He has now outsnapped Austin Hooper in each of the Titans’ last two games. Okonkwo is still available in 29% of leagues.

Tyler Conklin, New York Jets – With Zach Wilson on the bench, Conklin has become a worthwhile fantasy option again. His production has been modest through recent weeks, but he has managed to earn 18 targets in his three games with Mike White. With a favourable run-in ahead, he is a smart addition.

Quarterback

Baker Mayfield, Los Angeles Rams – Mayfield led the Rams to a shock comeback against the Raiders on Thursday night and he looked good considering he had only been a member of the team for a matter of hours. Mayfield should be the starter for the rest of the season and that makes him well worth a stash.

Desmond Ridder, Atlanta Falcons – The Falcons announced during their Week 14 bye that they would be moving on from Marcus Mariota as their starting quarterback. Ridder is the next man up and looks likely to start for the rest of the season. Crucially, he has the potential to be better than his predecessor from a fantasy perspective.
